I wanted to to sign up for a new land line phone line at my place. After being transfered three times to a different person, I got cut off in the midst of the fourth transfer, and still wasn’t any closer to signing up. This is crazy!! Is it time to….. Disembark? ![]()

It seems like every time I log into Google Reader to check my feed subscriptions some company or another is getting swallowed up. What is up with this?
Google buys Feedburner and Panoramio and Greenborder.
Microsoft scoops up aQuantive Inc. and Tellme.
eBay buys StumbleUpon.
MySpace buys Photobucket.
Who’s next? Google buys Apple? Microsoft plunks down billions for Yahoo? eBay acquires Amazon? Verizon gobbles up Sprint Nextel? Ford takes a majority stake in GM? Kirbtech buys Dell Inc?
Speaking of bonuses… I got my first adsense check here the other week. This is the first adsense check for me, however some of my other affliate programs have sent me checks before. I personally dislike seeing ads all over a website. However, running ads on a website can bring in enough revenue to pay the hosting bill, so that’s why you see a few ads here and there on this website. Anyway, I’ve got a question for you. Do ads on a website affect whether you will visit that site again in the future? or not?
Rule #475 “When leaving your vehicle, always close the sunroof.”
Don’t ask why.
My latest issue of PC Magazine alerted me to a “new” encyclopedia called Citizendium. Although its somewhat similar to Wikipedia, it does go a step or two farther. For example, Users must provide their real names and sign an ethics pledge. It will be interesting how far it will go, but I would be willing to see a competitor or two.
For our honeymoon, we wanted to stay at a cabin in the smokies, but we were scared to rent one with out seeing it first. However we went ahead and rented a cabin called Mountain Honeymoon from Maples Ridge Cabin Rentals. Let me tell you, I was so glad we rented from those folks. A clean, beautiful, and private cabin along with the very friendly people we rented it from made for a wonderful honeymoon. It was only a one bedroom cabin, somewhat small, but we sure loved it. We spent a lot of time just staying around the place. It was so lovely.
