Vista versus Leopard

Engadget has a post up comparing the featuresof Vista and Leopard, and you would think its Word War 3 by the comments.
(Ohh, by the way, there is exactly 666 comments over there now as I’m writing this post.) Its funny how people get all fired up about which OS is the best. I’ve worked with enough Operating Systems in my shory life to know they all have big flaws.
However, Vista is still the best.
Update: And don’t even get me started on this. That’s a huge reason why I don’t more appreciation for Apple than I do. They are so arrogant.

Yea for Leopard!!
I should agree with you that there is more than one good OS out there but that wouldn’t be any fun.
You ought to try Leopard for a week once see if you wouldn’t like it.
I have a Vista CD for one of our work computers. I have to try it once things slow down this winter.
In one paragraph explain to me the benefits of Leopard, and why you like it so much.
btw, why would I BUY a new computer just to run Leopard? thats dumb. Now if I could install it on one of my existing computers like I can with any flavor of Windows or Linus, perhaps I would try it. But I’m not going to pay a premium just to try leopard.
You’ve got to remember I’m in the computer business, and I like to build my own stuff.
Leopard on Windows
Maybe later I collect my thoughts on Leopard down to one paragraph.
If you like to build your own stuff, give Linux or BSD a spin
I’ve been working with linux some the last while due to my affiliation with emypeople. For example, I just setup a debian box and got mysql replication working. It was fun doing it, but also a bit frustrating.
Keep doing stuff with Linux and it won’t be as frustrating.
And if you have any questions ask on IRC or post on a forum. Linux users are very helpful as a general rule.
Seth, trying Vista and slowing down will definitely occur right about the same time for some inexplicable reason.
Kirby, I am still mystified at your incredibly illogical conclusions vis a vis Vista. I’m no Mac fanboy, but I am intelligent enough to know that I fight a losing battle to say that XP is better than Leopard, much less Vista.
I’ve been on both sides of the fence with Vista. I’ve encouraged people to downgrade “or upgrade as some like to say” to XP. I’ve also encouraged people (when buying a new computer) to get Vista right away. Figure that one out.
For what its worth, in the last two weeks or so, I sold five custom built computers. Four of them went with Vista, and One went with XP.
