Wow. With the Consumer Electronics Show and the Macworld 2007 both in full swing, lots of new products are being demoed and released. Two notable ones that have caught my attention are Windows Home Server and the new Apple iPhone. Both products appear to be winners, although I haven’t quiet figured out what is so innovative about the Apple iPhone. I think its the slick interface, however Steve Jobs says they reinvented the phone. With the exception of not needing a stylus (which is pretty slick), it still looks a phone to me.

Dropped calls, garbled audio, no service… GRRRRRR…. I remember a couple of years ago I could barely remember the last time I had a dropped call. Now, its almost a daily occurrence, even when I’m traveling thru the capital of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg. Its sooo frustrating, some days I could just about throw the phone out the window. It all started when Sprint bought out Nextel. Nextel’s phone and two way service is deteriorating rapidly. You better shape up, Sprint, or we are all going to ship out.
In other news, Sprint/Nextel is going to make huge layoffs. Huh? Why not make our phone network better?

I was just on the phone with Iomega Support this afternoon, and I was quite impressed. Short hold times, friendly and knowledgeable, no hassle, and they even speak clear English.
I wish more companies like Google, HP, Dell, etc would improve their customer and technical support. I tend to not buy from companies that I know have lousy support even if they do have good products.
