Gmail Makes for a Great Quickbooks Backup

I backup my Quickbooks file to Gmail. It’s simple. Simply send a message to yourself with the Quickbooks backup file* attached. I also like to put Quickbooks Backup in the subject line so that you can easily find them later.

*your Quickbooks file has to be less than 10MB.  Now 20MB!

    I agree that using GMail for backing up files is a great day to get offsite storage. Be sure that if you use loan manager in QuickBooks that you backup your filesystem too.

    I had to restore my .qbb backup to a new computer, but my loan manager setup was not there. Loan manager files are not included in the .qbb backup. I did a writeup on how I restored the loan manager files at:
