The Best Wordpress Spam Filter
Filed Under (Wordpress) by Kirby Witmer on 22-11-2006
I remember when I would get an email everytime I would get a comment on this Blog, and then I would have to approve it, disapprove it, or mark it as spam. I started to get a bunch of spam, and it was a real pain to moderate all the comments. But then I discovered this wonderful plugin called Spam Karma 2. Ahhh… it’s amazing!! 579 Spams eaten and counting… You poor spammers, why do you even try?
Update: The author of this plugin has said he will be no longer developing this plugin. Use Akismet or something else.

Spam filters for Word Press blogs rock. I use akismet and I have only a handful of spam post that get past the filter.
Someone else below asked this already.
I am getting nailed with Spam in my website for our blog website. Is there anyway to stop this? If not, there really isn’t any point in leaving it up and active. Any help will be greatly appreciated. http://www.profesjonalna-reklama.pl

Akismet is better.

Thanks for very interesting article. btw. I really enjoyed reading all of your posts. It’s interesting to read ideas, and observations from someone else’s point of view… makes you think more.
Excellent information. We use Wordpress for a lot of our clients because of the ease of use. We have the default Akismet but we will now look into Spam Karma 2. Thank you for your help.
